Graham Potter said Armando Broja prognosis for the injury he sustained in Chelsea’s 1-0 loss to Aston Villa “doesn’t seem great.”
After colliding with Ezri Konsa during the friendly match in Abu Dhabi, the teenage striker required extensive on-field medical attention before being stretchered out with what seemed to be a knee injury.
Armando Borja: Potter gave a relatively alarming update on Broja’s injury to the club’s official website after the game, calling it “an uncomfortable one”:
“I believe he got caught up with their player and the ground, which was regrettable conduct. It doesn’t seem promising, but it’s too early to tell. Crossing my fingers, although it’s a strange one.
In addition, Potter spoke on the game, saying: “A young squad playing against a very seasoned Premier League club put up a strong effort in the game. We’ve had a great week of training in Abu Dhabi.
“It’s fantastic to work with the players that are present. The injured players have had a little more time to train and have accelerated their rehabilitation, which is excellent since it means they’re moving closer to making a comeback.
