Xavi has compared Barcelona youngsters Pedri and Gavi to himself and fellow star Andres Iniesta at the same age.
Xavi, Iniesta, and Sergio Busquets did tremendous things with Barcelona and Spain, winning many Champions Leagues, European Championships, and World Cup.
Pedri and Gavi have set out to follow in those great footsteps and have already impacted Barcelona’s manager.
“We weren’t as good as Pedri and Gavi when Iniesta and I were 20 years old,” Xavi told BarcaTV. “They are superior to us,”
The always-frustrating Ousmane Dembele is another player hopes to see more of.
He started the World Cup final for France but was ejected before halftime after giving up a penalty, capping off an otherwise disastrous campaign for him.
On the other hand, Xavi is keen to fine-tune the gifted former Borussia Dortmund player, and he is working with him to enhance one vital aspect of his game.
“Dembele is a game changer,” Xavi stated. “In every game, he makes a difference. He is a unique player.
“We have worked a lot with him on his decision-making so that he always makes the proper option. I adore him and have complete faith in him. He is the world’s finest winger.”
