After Tuesday’s victory against Charlton, Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag said he wants to win the Carabao Cup, not simply reach the semi-finals.
A 3-0 win at Old Trafford sent the Red Devils to the semifinals for the third time in four seasons.
Antony scored a first-half stunner, while Marcus Rashford scored twice in stoppage time to end Charlton’s hopes.
Ten Hag remarked after the match that he was pleased with his team’s performance but wants to win the Carabao Cup.
“I liked the performance. We began the game with vigour and attention. We trapped them in their half, produced chances, threats, and huge chances “said.
“Alejandro Garnacho was excellent in one-on-ones and scored a beautiful goal. Antony dos Santos finished a team goal well.”

Ten Hag replied: “Never know. They added a striker, were more opportunistic, and we stepped up offensively.
“Pellistri came in and was energetic, assisting Rashford’s goal. 3-0 was a little excessive, but we had opportunities to end this game early.
“The last four is nothing. Only winning matters. However, you must play each game and leg. We’ll see who’s drawn and prepare properly. We put this game behind and advance to the Premier League.”
