The 2022 World Cup is coming up, and it’s crunch time for the 32 countries that are going to compete as they name their 26-player teams for the tournament.
Now, the preliminary squads will be cut down to the final ones. A number of well-known players are likely to miss the tournament due to injury, which is because the World Cup is held in the middle of the domestic season.
FIFA rules say that teams can replace injured players who can’t play until 24 hours before their first game. After that, it will just be a headache for every manager.
