President of Paris Saint-Germain Nasser Al-Khelaifi has said that the club will examine the contract of Lionel Messi issue in January.

During the World Cup break, Al-Khelaifi talked to Sky Sports about Messi’s predicament and was optimistic about his future: “He’s extremely happy, and you can see that with the national team. if a player is unhappy, it will show in their performance for the national team.”
He continued, “He had an outstanding season for us, scoring many goals and assisting on many more for both the national team and the club.
“Accordingly, after the World Cup, we will all sit down together. However, both sides – our side of the club and his – are quite pleased, so we will discuss the matter after the World Cup.”
In what is likely Messi’s last World Cup, the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner is presently prospering in Qatar with Argentina, who are favored to win the tournament.
