According to “allfootballleague,” Nottingham Forest is close to finalizing the acquisition of a second Palmeiras player in this transfer window after making a bid for in-demand midfielder Danilo.
Nottingham Forest welcomed Gustavo Scarpa to the City Ground earlier this month after reaching a contract agreement with him late last year.
Scarpa is expected to be joined in Nottingham by former teammate Danilo, who, according to “allfootballleague,” has informed his buddy of his imminent transfer.
Forest has submitted an offer of over £16 million for the 21-year-old, who has also attracted interest from Arsenal and Monaco.
Danilo is reportedly eager to go to the Premier League, with Forest leading the pursuit.
Despite Scarpa becoming the club’s twenty-third signing since gaining promotion to the Premier League last summer, Forest is desperate to add more players to their roster. Steve Cooper has made no apologies about seeking more strength and depth.
“The primary objective of incoming players will be to enhance the starting lineup,” he stated. Due to injuries, we may need to consider depth at some spots.
“If we bring in new players, we must bring in individuals that can immediately contribute on the field.”
“Although we were performing well just before the break, a little bit better, but still not where we want to be, we’re still in the situation we’re in, and we need to perform much better than we have so far.
“To do this, you must shift the team a little and search for the best ways to improve.”
“I have faith in the club to make decisions based on their best judgement, and we will see where it leads us.”
